Friday Financial Tidbit-How to find cheaper gas prices

Ever fill up your gas tank then drive home and find gas around the corner for five cents a gallon cheaper then what you paid?  It has happened to all of us at some point or another and even though the difference is usually under a dollar, it still drives me nuts.

To help find the cheapest gas in my area I use the website GasBuddy.com.  GasBuddy is a website where people can report the price of gasoline at any time via the Internet. It also comes in very handy when traveling to different areas that you are not familiar with. It also has a nice tool where you can see how gas prices are trending.  Another great feature is the trip cost calculator, where you estimate how much it will cost you to travel.

I have visited GasBuddy frequently for a few years now and it has been very helpful in saving a few dollars here and there.  What has been your experience with GasBuddy or similar websites?
