Friday Financial Tidbit-Every New Year is a fresh start!

“Cheers to a New Year and another chance for us to get it right.” ~ Oprah Winfrey

Hope you are having a good start to your 2012. New Year is always an exciting time as we get to look back and reflect on what we accomplished in the past year as well as project where we want to end up in the coming year. There is an excitement in the air as you get a fresh start and a sense of hope for the future.

The New Year also allows for a fresh start on how your handle your money. Remember, what happened in the past financially is in the past. It is never too late to change your financial future! But it has to start with you deciding that YOU want to change. So why not make this year a year of firsts for you. Perhaps it might be your first year not to have any credit card debt at the end of the year. Or maybe it will be your first year of having $1,000 or more in the bank. Or decide today to make this the first year that you pay for your vacation, car, or Christmas in cash instead of financing it.

If you need help in getting your finances in order this year please visit our site. We offer free financial resources to help you focus on improving your economy. In addition to blog posts, podcasts, and spreadsheets available to you, I am offering a special discount on my two-hour financial checkup package in the month of January. For only $99 we will get together and go over your financial status in addition to creating goals for 2012. I guarantee that if you put in the effort to improve your finances you will be rewarded. So use this fresh start to improve the way you handle your money!

What are some things you are going to do differently this year with your money?
