Debt Free Living Podcast-011 Josh Levitt

Listen to episode 011

Josh Levitt from LevittCoaching.com joins us on today’s show to discuss how he and his wife paid off over $48,000 in debt in just over a year! Josh and his wife thought they were being normal just like their friends by having debt and they never felt nervous about it. That is, until Josh’s mom suggested he read “The Total Money Makeover” by Dave Ramsey.

The key to turning their finances around was to become intentional with their money and pay attention. When they first did a budget they realized that they were spending close to $600 some months just on eating out. There was not one huge sacrifice that was made but rather a lot of small sacrifices that enabled them to change their behavior.

Today they have no stress over money and can openly communicate all things about money. Because they are debt free they have been able to give more. In addition, they have taken more trips including a few trips to Hawaii, where they hope to be able to visit more in the years ahead. Josh started LevittCoaching.com because helping people win with money is something that he has a passion for.
