Debt Free Living Podcast-013 Titus Moore

Listen to Episode 013

Titus Moore joins us on today’s show to discuss how he paid off $37,000 in debt on a student loan and a car.  Titus initially sold his paid-for car and borrowed to get a sports car because he felt he owed it to himself to have a nice car. He realized afterwards that it was a mistake and got aggressive to pay off his debt. He lived at home with his parents to save money, worked on his vacation, and started to use cash instead of a debit or credit card to make purchases.

Titus was determined to get out of debt as fast as he could, because as a pilot, he realized that he could get laid off at any time and the economy was crashing. He now has an emergency fund in cash instead of a credit card with an 18% interest rate. Being single, it helped him out a lot to have an accountability partner to talk with and hold him accountable.

Titus is starting financiallyweird.com soon in hopes of being able to share his story and inspire others to be weird financially and to get out of debt. One of his long term goals is being able to purchase a house with cash.
