Friday Financial Tidbit-Why Financial Literacy is important

In case you did not know, April is National Financial Literacy month. As a financial coach, I am really excited for April and feel that spreading the word about financial literacy is important because quite frankly, the average financial statistics in our country are quite depressing.

With that being said, financial literacy month is more than just running through the numbers with people or going over some definitions. It is about knowing how your financial decisions impact your quality of life. We live in a cause and effect world and knowing the impact, both good and bad, of certain financial decisions is important.

As April comes around we will be promoting Financial Literacy Month pretty heavily with blog posts and podcasts. So I hope you take advantage and learn something new this month on personal finance as well as spread the word to those who need to hear it as well.
